The course allows students to customise their learning experience by selecting from a range of advanced methods workshops across four specialist streams: quantitative, qualitative, social data science and multi-methods.

Micro-Methods Workshops

The Micro-Methods Workshops offer introductory non-credit training in a broad range of social science research methods and software packages. They are delivered online as self-study modules and can be accessed by students and staff at any point during the academic year. Students who complete four workshops and submit a reflective assignment can also gain the Edinburgh Social Science Methods Certificate.
