The information you provide will be used by the Research Training Centre (RTC) to:


  • administer events and training, monitor participation and obtain feedback
  • ensure that content from the website is presented in the most effective manner for you and your computer
  • provide information about Research Training Centre news, opportunities and events where you have consented to be contacted.

Cookies

The RTC website does not use cookies to store any data, personal or otherwise. We use WP Statistics plugin (WordPress) to monitor website visits. WP Statistics is GDPR compliant and doesn’t collect personal data or store information based on users. We anonymize IP addresses for compliance.


We embed videos from Media Hopper Create on the website which are subject to the Media Hopper Create – Privacy Statement.


Mailing list

Information about you: how we use it and with whom we share it

We use dotdigital as our e-mailing system. We process the personal data of people on the mailing list, in order to keep them up to date with workshops, courses and a regular newsletter. The information you provide will be used by us to:


  • keep you up to date with project updates and training information
  • ensure we only communicate with you about updates of interest to you
  • The mailing list is subject to the dotdigital privacy policy.

Retention

We will hold the personal data you provide in line with the University of Edinburgh’s retention schedules.


Automated decision making

We do not use profiling or automated decision-making processes. A human decision maker will always be involved before any decision is reached in relation to you.
