Description

About the symposium:

This year we have a fantastic keynote speaker in Lucy Dean from the Scottish Centre for Social Research (ScotCen). Lucy has 17 years of experience delivering quantitative and qualitative research including nationally representative surveys, evaluations and mixed method projects. She has managed multi-disciplinary teams overseeing projects in areas including health, social attitudes, children and families, criminal justice and the media. This has included a range of projects from inception and design through to disseminating the findings at events such as at the Scottish Parliament, the Ministry of Justice and the London Business School. She has led on analysis and write up of findings in academic and published research including the Scottish Social Attitudes Survey, Behaviour in Scottish Schools, the Scottish Health Survey and the Student Finance and Wellbeing Study.

Alongside hearing from Lucy and having the chance to ask questions, we will have a program of talks, to which we hope you will contribute. There will be slots for longer (25 minute) talks, and shorter lightning talks (15 minutes) where speakers can showcase a method or dataset.

There will be free coffee, tea and cakes, and lunch provided!

Please register to attend and/or talk as soon as possible, and by 1st May at the latest.
